If you’ve got your debs ball coming up, or simply a really special occasion, there’s no better place to take inspiration from than the celebrity red carpet. At Cari’s Closet, we have a stunning range of dresses that we reckon the celebs would be pretty happy to wear. Here’s how to get the look:
Embellishment is the kind of trend that never really goes away, and Nicole Kidman looked amazing in this nude Armani Prive gown at the Oscars 2017. If you’re looking to recreate the look, we love our Juliette embellished gown which totally nails the 1920s vibe.
Continuing with the 20s theme, we adored Emma Stone’s Givenchy dress at the Oscars. Not only did she win an award for her role in La La Land, she also won the hearts of the fashion editors around the globe. You can recreate the look with our glimmering Gatsby gown. Keep accessories simple like Emma and go for a pair of statement earrings.
Off-the-shoulder is such a strong look that it even made its way on to the red carpet earlier this year at the Met Gala. We loved Taylor Hill’s Carolina Herrera gown, in burgundy with an elegant train. If you like the look, try our red Bardot lace gown, which adds a touch of sparkle and lace to make the dress truly red carpet worthy. Someone call Anna Wintour and tell her we’ll meet her at the top of the Met Steps.
So our fabulous Charlotte ice-blue gown gives us Frozen vibes anyway, but it’s also a red carpet must-have. Actress Camila Morrone rocked this daring Ralph Russo number on the red carpet in Cannes, and we just love it. Our Charlotte gown is a slightly safer, but equally as stunning option.
The Emmys are not far away now, and we loved Priyanka Chopra’s Jason Wu gown from last year, with its sexy cut-outs. To replicate the look, try our Harper gown, with a criss-cross racer neck and slight cut-out.
Back in 2016 (and pre hair cut), Katy Perry wowed us at the Golden Globes with this bubblegum pink number. We loved how she made such a girly colour look grown-up, and you can try this yourself with our beautiful Lydia gown.
What better gown for an Irish gal than emerald green?! We loved Saoirse Ronan’s Calvin Klein Collection gown at the Oscars in 2016, and now we’ve got an elegant emerald number of our own – the Bella gown, with racy cut-out sides and a halterneck.
Plum is such a beautiful colour, and Amanda Peet kept it simple at the 2017 Golden Globes with this Bottega Veneta beauty. Our multiway gowns are hugely popular, and this plum version of it is perfect for any occasion.
Silver is the perfect colour for a red-carpet event as it’s not one that is worn very often. We loved Elsa Pataky’s shimmering Zuhair Murad gown, and our Belle dress is a stunning take on it.
